Polly Duff Kertis received a 2021 Pushcart Prize. Her writing has appeared in Tin House, The Literary Review, Hysterical Rag, The Weekly Humorist, Slackjaw, The Brooklyn Rail, Literary Mama, No Tokens, and other journals. She has completed a collection of short stories and is working on a novel. She is the author of two chapbooks of translation, OLD GUS EATS (Publishing Genius, 2012) and MIRROR POEMS (O’Clock Press, 2012).
She founded the Brooklyn reading series Writers Reading to Writers Listening to Writers Reading to Writers. She co-founded the biennial Moby-Dick Marathon NYC.
She completed an MFA at Sarah Lawrence College, and she teaches high school English in Brooklyn.
